🧡 Why do we fundraise?

Ridgefield Music Parents is a 501 (c)(3) non profit. The dues that students pay cover about 50% of all the programs and activities we support. This includes pizza rehearsals, recordings of concerts, workshops and clinics with professional musicians, scholarships, trips, and so much more. Every entry and vote you cast for a pumpkin carving will go directly to benefitting students. Thank you in advance for all your support!

🧡 How it Works

1. Carve or Decorate Your Pumpkin: Get creative and let your imagination run wild!
2. Snap a Photo: Capture your pumpkin with an index card showing the date.
3. Submit Your Entry: Upon completion of your registration and $10 payment, you can
upload your photo to the google drive. Directions for photo submission are at the end of these directions.
4. Share and Vote: Distribute your unique voting link to gather votes!

🎓 Divisions and Categories

RHS Students:

Compete by Grade Levels (9–12):

  • 1 winner per grade

  • Grade winners compete for the title of Pumpkin Royalty

  • Winning class is engraved on the RHS-RMP Pumpkin Carving Plaque of Excellence!

Community:

  • Open to all Ridgefield residents and RPS employees and family!

  • Categories: Child (3-7), Youth (8–12), Teens (13–17), Adults (18–64), Seniors (65+)

    🏆 Awards will be given for both People’s Choice and ‍⚖️ Judges’ Choice winners — plus ultimate bragging rights: “Ridgefield’s Pumpkin of the Year” for the community and“Pumpkin Royalty” for the top RHS carver!

🗓 Key Dates

  • Submit Entries: Now through Oct 28

  • Vote Online: Now through Nov 1. @12:30 PM

  • Winners Announced: Nov. 1 @ 7:00 PM

💵 Entry Fee

  • $10 per pumpkin — all proceeds support Ridgefield Public Schools music programs.

Voting

  • People’s Choice: Public online voting via PollUnit — every vote equals a donation!

  • Judges’ Choice: Selected by Ridgefield Music Parents & community judges based on creativity, detail, and presentation.
