Elementary School Chorus

RPS Elementary Chorus experience provides every student in 4th and 5th grade the opportunity to perform in concert twice per school year. Student performances in the winter and the Spring highlight vocal skills and repertoire acquired in the general music class. In General Music class, students learn to sing in different musical styles and are exposed to music from other cultures as well as proper vocal production and breath control. 

In a short 4 to 6 rehearsals, the entire chorus rehearses together to make unforgettable concert experiences. Each chorus performs on the same evening program with orchestra and band performances highlighting the well-rounded young musicians in the Ridgefield Elementary music program.

Ridgefield Elementary music program also offers each 4th and 5th grade student the opportunity to perform in the All Elementary District Music Festival. We like to encourage every child to grow vocally and inspire in each child the joy of singing that they will carry with them throughout their lives!
